S1207: Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood: Supporting Families and Physicians

The unexplained death of a child impacts the family, community, and physicians who care for these families. This session will review the definition, statistics, and literature on sudden unexplained death in childhood. Vignettes detailing variable experiences with health care systems will highlight how to support families and the health care professionals affected by a patient’s death.
