This session will cover the history of school vaccine mandates and review the current state of exemptions to these mandates. Faculty will examine the impact of nonmedical exemptions on public health and the incidence of vaccine-preventable diseases. Practical tips will be provided to help pediatricians advocate for a reduction in nonmedical exemptions.
