When risk for morbidity or mortality in newborns is high, best practice involves shared decision-making. Factors beyond the control of parents or clinicians, including evolving regional resources, institutional policies, and legislation, can limit options offered. Participants will discuss approaches to these scenarios through a multidisciplinary lens.
