Tony Tarchichi is an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the Paul C. Gaffney Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. He is the creator and host of the PHM from Pittsburgh continuing medical education podcast. Dr. Tarchichi earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University and completed medical school at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School where he also completed a combined Medicine-Pediatrics residency. He was chief resident in the Med-Peds program during his 4th year and was the Pediatric Chief Resident the following year. He has published numerous articles in using podcasting as a source of continuing medical education. His research interests include how newer media affects learning patterns of physicians. He currently serves on the executive council for the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Hospital Medicine and was the past Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship director at UPMC Children’s hospital of Pittsburgh.
