Dr. Katherine Soe is Triple Board trained and certified in Pediatrics, General Psychiatry, and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center/ University of Cincinnati, dividing her time between the Psychiatry Consult-Liaison Service and Pediatric Hospital Medicine. She is passionate about advocating for children’s health both locally and nationally, through leadership roles including as District Representative for the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Early Career Physicians, community volunteer work, and speaking engagements. She further explored her interest in systems-based healthcare as an American Psychiatric Association Public Psychiatry Fellow, and completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Health. Her academic interests include quality improvement at the interface of physical and mental health, interdisciplinary communication, improving mental health care for hospitalized patients, teaching and mentoring. She also enjoys promoting trainee and early career physician involvement in pediatric mental health initiatives at the national level through her roles as Co-Chair of the AACAP Alliance for Learning and Innovation (AALI), and the Early Career Representative on AACAP’s Triple Board and Post-Pediatric Portal Committee.
