Dr. Corrie McDaniel is a pediatric hospitalist at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, WA. She is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Her research focuses on understanding and improving outcomes for children hospitalized in non-children’s hospitals, with specific interest in addressing disparities of care for children in rural hospitals.
Dr. McDaniel has specific expertise methodologically in survey design and psychometrics. She has coordinated and led multiple workshops at PHM and PAS on introduction to survey design, qualitative interviewing for survey development, and understanding validity. She has published several manuscripts involving the development of novel tools, including the High Value Care Rounding Tool and the Pediatric Hospitalization Admission Survey of Experience (PHASE) Quality Measure.
